Privacy policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026 · applies to the MoneySaver Android app
Who is responsible for your data
MoneySaver is developed and published by Adolfo Arnold, an independent developer. If you have any questions about this policy, you can write to adolfoarnold.apps@gmail.com.
The data you enter in the app
The only information the app handles is what you type in yourself: amounts, categories, dates, transaction notes and the rules for recurring expenses. It is stored in a local database on your device, inside the app's private storage. None of it is sent to the developer or to any third party.
Your data does not leave your phone
The app does not request the INTERNET permission, which means it is
technically unable to open network connections of its own. It cannot send anything to
anyone, even if it wanted to. It does not request access to your contacts, location,
camera or personal files.
Notifications. The app will ask for permission to send notifications only when you turn on an alert in the settings. Notifications are generated on your device and stay there; they do not include any amounts.
The only things that leave your phone (and only if you do it)
There are two versions of MoneySaver, and they do not behave the same way on this point, so they are described separately. If you are not sure which one you have: if you installed it from the Play Store, it is the first.
If you got the app from Google Play
- Backup to a file. You can save your data from the app to a text file, and you choose where it goes (your phone's storage, Drive, and so on). The file is yours: where it ends up and who can read it depends on the location you choose.
- Android's automatic backup. If Android's system backup is turned on, the operating system may include the app's data in the encrypted backup linked to your Google account, together with the data of your other apps. This is a feature of the operating system, managed by Google and not by the app: you can turn it off in Android's settings.
There is nothing else. This version does not open any web page and does not contact any server, not even to check for updates: the Play Store takes care of that.
If you have version 1.13 downloaded from this site (discontinued)
This is the version that used to be distributed here as an APK file, before MoneySaver arrived on the Play Store. It is in Italian only. It does everything the other one does, plus one thing:
- “Cerca aggiornamenti” (Check for updates). This option exists only in this version. It opens this site in your browser, passing the version number you have installed to the page, so that it can tell you whether a newer one exists. It is an ordinary visit to a web page: like any website, the hosting service (Vercel) records the request in its technical logs. No data about your transactions is sent.
Data collected by the developer
None. There is no MoneySaver server, no remote database, no advertising identifier and no automatic crash reporting. The developer has no way of knowing who uses the app or what they write in it.
Deleting your data
You can delete your data from within the app (by deleting transactions and categories), or by uninstalling the app or clearing its data in Android's settings: in that case the local database is removed completely. Since there are no remote copies, there is nothing else to ask anyone for.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children — it collects no data from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If the app's behavior ever changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will show it. Versions of the app that do not collect data will continue not to collect any.
